FARMERS COLLECTIVISATION FOR UPSCALING PRODUCTION & MARKETING SYSTEM (FOCUS)

It is supported by Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA), Shillong. NSSS facilitates this project in two C&RD Blocks, viz, Mawthadraishan Block and Mairang Block. The program aims at incubating 10,000 MICRO and NANO Enterprises over a 5 period (2020-2025) through business development, market and technology access and credit linkage. Different activities are being engaged such as conducting value chain study and identified the dominant products in the region, forming Producer Groups, identification of Nano Entrepreneurs and Micro-clusters, visit of villages for value chain survey and identified vicinity available for PRIME Hub (either community land or private land).

Objectives

Create value chain development infrastructure on identified products.
To form Producer Group/Cooperatives and other collectives.
To train the partners in Technical and Business skills.
To create and establish credit linkages to partners.
To update the capacity building on technical, management and marketing.
To create market linkages for inputs and outputs.
